In case you didn’t notice, we’ve been gone for a quite awhile, but for a good reason! BGL is launching something exciting and new December 16th (hint, hint), and I’ve been working on it a lot! We still have a few editions of the Holiday Guide to wrap up, so I’ll be back with some holiday goodies 🙂

• The Consoles :. BGL gives you our honest opinion on which console to buy and which purchases to make in terms of software and accessories.
• 2008 and Beyond :. Want to hold off on PSP purchases? Here’s what to expect for 2008.

PODCAST: Our New, Official Super-Duper Directory

A nice note to our podcast listeners: we have a new, official super-duper directory up on our main site for your streaming and downloading pleasure. The directory features all of our podcasts, the majority of them archived, and features information and streaming. This doesn’t mean that you can’t still get your podcasts from our near-dozen number of directory sites (Odeo, ThePodLounge, iTunes, etc.), but BGL will be uploading the official podcasts up at this directory before anybody else gets a hold of them. Enjoy!

Newsletter, Podcast Restart

Are you ready? This November, BGL is producing its first ever made-for-PSP magazine, a successor to the successful newsletter which ended up with over 1,200 views in its three issues. The magazine will arrive in three different flavors as well as the lengthy and shortened version, featuring the usual reviews, news, and analysis, plus some user-content from the members over at BGL. You can enter the competition here, but only with a membership at the forums. A date will soon be announced, but the plan is to have it out the weekend before Thanksgiving (for our international visitors, that’s 11/22).

Moreover, that team podcast that was hinted at two times before is becoming a reality. Now that the software, news, and other problems have been solved, the plan is to get a date running and get everyone on the air. Even so, our regular/classic podcasts will be back this weekend with a lot of goodies.

I’m proud to announce that November will also host Reviewrama and the beginning of our much-anticipated Holiday Guide, which this time will be released in full length. Good things are coming at BGL, so stick around! 🙂

PodLounge Update

For those who use ThePodLounge via their PSP or computer to download our podcast, the podcast directory is re-launching a website this Monday, so please be aware and try to get your archived podcasts elsewhere. Look at the sidebar for some help. A new podcast will be coming soon (I hope 🙂 )

A Few Changes Ahead on the Blogs…

In case you didn’t notice, we have a few changes occurring this sunny Sunday afternoon. For one, Get Loco is no more. Beyond Get Loco is our official name, and we are reflecting this in every post from now on. Our logo (the current one is temporary) also reflects that. Moreover, in our sidebar, we have The Very Latest, bringing you all our latest topics that the majority of visitors are viewing. Also, we have Hot Topics, allowing people to see which categories are hot right about now on the blogs.

Over the next few weeks, BGL will be further streamlining both sites together and bringing more interactivity to the blog. Don’t miss out!

TGS07 Coverage Plans
