E307: SOCOM, Chains of Olympus, NFS Highlight Busy E307

E3 might be dead, but the ESA wants to create a new form of the trade show that will be more professional–basically E3 without the busy lights, babes, the Black Eyed Peas, and eye catching displays. This year, numerous gaming studios are announcing new and exciting games for both the next-generation platforms and the handhelds–including our beloved PSP. Highlighting the event in terms of PSP games, which begins July 11th and runs to the 13th, is the brand new SOCOM, named Tactical Strike, God of War: Chains of Olympus, the new street racing god, Need for Speed: ProStreet, and even Monster Hunter 2. The trade show will offer numerous games that could account for a PSP comeback that has been expected for this year. That’s not it, though–as you can expect, Square Enix, Bethesda Softworks, Activision, Namco Bandai, and Konami have not yet announced their E3 lineup–we could potentially see Oblivion Travels, Crisis Core, The Lion Wars, Dissidia, and others. This just makes us more “giddy” (if you may) for the upcoming event. Be there in July for non-stop coverage of the big event.
