Tidbits is a new weekly column coming every casual Friday with news from the industry about the industry and nothing else. That being the gaming industry!

This week in the industry:

  •  Anybody wondering when the PS3 will arrive in Europe? SONY denied Europe for a PS3 release last year, so this year they have to make up for it. Yet, BLADESTORM and Fatial Inertia have been delayed until the Summer and will NOT make the Europe launch. Gahh…Peter Dille says April, but we swore it was March before? Trouble is already occurring, though: launch games delayed, no 20GB PS3 for UK yet, and questions to whether the PS3 is sitting on shelves here in the US…
  • World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade came out this week. It’s the expansion pack to the successful MMORPG WoW, which has topped 1mil. copies in North America and succeeded in bringing something new to the table. No other MMORPG can compete—yet.
  • Square Enix announced two new ports anniversary editions of Final Fantasy for the PSP. Will it be a big year for the PSP with Crisis Core and Tactics already arriving.
  • Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! When is SONY bringing PSOne games to the PSP not via the PS3? New games are coming, and already, us non-PS3 owners (about 98% of the populace) are getting tired of SONY. Maybe GDC 2007 will bring some news?

Cya next Friday.
