Square Enix Party :: In-Game Crisis Core Graphics Just Stunning
Crisis Core is pretty much done and September 13th is its Japanese release date. Of course we all knew it was stunning from magnificent cutscenes, but in-game footage was lacking. Finally, a photo of in-game footage shows beautiful graphics (possibly up to par with many recent PS2 games) and reveals the new fighting system. One word: stunning. Furthermore, 1Up and IGN had their hands all over Square Enix’s dazzling new VII-version and had to say great things about it. 1Up had to say this about the upcoming game:
Graphically, Crisis Core easily surpasses most PSP titles. The game’s overall presentation sparkles with polish — the weirdly proportioned character models of FFVII have been wisely scrapped in favor of the more realistic Advent Children designs, and stunningly expressive facial animation truly captures the emotion and drama inherent to the tale. Square Enix’s artists have also managed to translate the memorable (yet tragically pre-rendered) world of FFVII into impressive 3D environments.
Wow. This sounds so great. I can’t wait to find out whether the US, Europe, or Australia will be getting this game this year (otherwise, I will seriously consider importing if the game has English subtitles).

Square Enix Party :: Crisis Core Coming 9/13/07 in Japan…
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core will head to the PSP on September 13, 2007, in Japan. The much-anticipated game has been in development for years now, and information and screenshots are finally pouring out from Square Enix. No release date has been set for the Americas, Europe, and Oceania, but you can probably expect it to be sometime late 2007 or early 2008.

Square Enix Party :: Dissidia looks beautiful…
In case you were concerned about Final Fantasy: Dissidia’s graphics, you might want to think again. Crisis Core looked immediately stunning, but Dissidia could possibly look better. This unique game, according to Joystiq, rids of any role playing and is purely a fighting game. This could be a great move (on the PSP, at least); bringing different renditions of Final Fantasy to the PSP’s table is great. A large magazine scan from the land of the rising sun showed multiple looks at gameplay, but because all of the text is written in Japanese, it’s hard to tell exactly what the magazine scan was reporting. If anyone can (possibly) decipher the language, please comment!

Square Enix Party :: FF Dissidia announced for PSP
A mysterious site opened today for Final Fantasy: Dissidia, a new game which has been announced for PSP. With no real information on anything about the game, we can only go by stellar graphic art in the background for now. (Speculation) We can expect to hear more from the upcoming Square Enix Party this weekend. Thanks to a handy dandy Wikipedia search, I’ve been able to find out that the game that it will have 3D graphics and also bring a lot of characters from previous Final Fantasy games together. This all seems a bit interesting; I guess we’ll just have to wait it out until their big party starts this weekend. (Oh, and it has only been announced in Japan, for now, we hear….)

Square Enix Party :: FF, Crisis Core News out Next Week
We reported to you that Square Enix would be having a party in May that would have playable demos for a lot of games (including Crisis Core and all of the Final Fantasy-remakes), and that party is rapidly approaching. Next Saturday and Sunday seems to be the original dates set for the party, and as long as everything goes as planned, we could be hearing of Japanese and United States release dates for the much anticipated Crisis Core and an updated playable demo of the game. Additionally, we could be hearing of confirmations of more PSP games (we’re crossing our fingers for Dragon Quest). We can’t wait!
