WipEout has been a very big part of SONY’s history in the past 15 years. Since the first edition of the game hit SONY’s Playstation, fans have rushed to purchase each and every single edition. When WipEout made its way to the PSP in the form of “Pure”, it sold nearly a million copies and became the talk of the town when it allowed for digital distribution of new vehicles and maps for free. This never-before-seen tactic is possibly what helped to launch SONY’s Playstation Store, Microsoft’s XBOX Live Arcade, and Nintendo’s Virtual Console. Studio Liverpool, the developers, have decided to continue the series on the PSP in the form of WipEout Pulse. We couldn’t have been any happier.
